Dear visitors to Ko Lanta

five years ago, on the occasion of the 100-year celebrations of the Lanta District, we printed the first Lanta Magazine. At that time, tourism on Ko Lanta was booming, and many of the family-run budget bungalows were upgrading their facilities to keep pace with the development in neighboring tourist centers and the increased desires of customers.

The wave of 26 December 2004 interrupted these efforts, but thanks to the locals and the efforts of some hotels, which launched a "Ko Lanta OK" Campaign, the island returned to normality faster than other destinations, and is now "beautiful as ever".

This second edition of the Lanta Magazine was printed to provide information about this holiday island, and to be available in each hotel room. Unfortunately, most luxury hotels were not interested to make this magazine available to their guests. Therefore, you will find it mostly for sale at travel offices. Enjoy your stay and help us keep Lanta Island clean.
